First off, I would like to welcome the International visitors that have been to our site. We now have had several people from several different countries:

Praise The Lord that something like the internet can be used to spread His Holy Name all over the Globe!

           This month’s email will not follow the normal schedule because of the events taking place at this time. Hopefully I will get a chance to follow up soon with something about this month’s studies.

I would like to talk this time about the importance for ALL BELIEVERS IN JESUS / YESHUA to support Israel at this time. I am sure that we are all watching or listening to the news events of what is happening in the Middle East at this time. Hizbollah ( which means “Army of Allah”) attacking Israel and Israel retaliating against them. Probably anything I mention specifically will have changed by the time you get this or read it, so I won’t comment much on news bits. The important thing that we need to remember is that Israel is God’s Holy Land. It is “Where He Placed His Name”. It is where Jesus walked, talked and Sacrificed Himself.

There is plenty of Scripture to teach us that we should, and need to support Israel. I could go on for quite some time listing them all, but there is one main Scripture that says it all…..

Genesis 12:2, 3

^”2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: ³ And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

This was a Promise to Abraham. The great nation that God is speaking of is Israel. This is a pretty simple promise….He will Bless those that Bless Israel, and on the other side God will curse those that curse Israel. As Believer’s in The Word of God, I would suggest that it is imperative that we Bless Israel, so that we might also be Blessed!

 The Jewish people are “God’s Chosen”. And as Paul said, they are the “root” that we, as Gentile Believers, are grafted into. God’s hand and heart has been upon the Jewish people and Israel since the beginning. It is our responsibility to support and bless them. Keep the current situation in your prayers, and Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!

 The following are Prayers, one from Psalms, that ArtScroll (a publisher of Jewish books) are offering in Hebrew/English as a free download (it is nice to see the original Hebrew alongside the English translation). They are asking that everyone pray them for Israel in this time of trouble. I have typed the English translation from there as it is a little different than our Bibles show:

Psalm 142

 With my voice to HASHEM, I cry out

With my voice to HASHEM, I plead

I pour out before him my plaint

My distress, I declare before HIM

When my spirit faints within me

Then YOU know my perilous path

On whatever road I walk

They have laid a snare for me

Look to the right and see that I have no friend

Escape is lost to me

No one seeks to save my life

I have cried out to you HASHEM

I have said, YOU, are my refuge

My portion in the land of the living

Attend to my cry

For I have been brought very low

Rescue me from my pursuers

For they are stronger than I

Release from confinement, my soul

To acknowledge your NAME

With me, the righteous will crown themselves

When you bestow kindness upon me

The Psalm above is traditionally followed by this brief plea for God’s Mercy on all suffering Jews:

Our Brothers, the entire House of Israel

Who are found in distress and captivity

Who are situated whether at sea or whether on land

May the OMNIPRESENT ONE have mercy on them

And remove them from distress, to relief

From darkness to light

From subjugation to redemption

Now, speedily, and in a time that comes soon

And let us say, AMEN

Please pray these prayers for our Jewish Brothers and Sisters in Israel
