What Is God's Hebrew Word

What is God's Hebrew Word?

Well, that is pretty simple. It is the Word that God gave to the Israelites on Mount Sinai through Moses.

Oh, you say, The Old Testament! OK, What has all that Law stuff got to do with me? I am a Christian! I don't need to know that stuff. That is all "works"! I have been saved by Grace! I have been Saved by Jesus!

Hallelujah!

YES YOU HAVE! You have been saved by the Grace of God through the Sacrifice of Jesus!

But what if I told there was more! More to know about Jesus. More to know about the plan that God had to save you. More to know about why Jesus came. More to know about God. A way to know his likes, his dislikes, his "ways"!

Oh, you say, I have read the New Testament and I know all I need to know about Jesus!

But what if I told you that the New Testament wasn't all there was in the Bible about Jesus? What if I told you that every Book in the Bible was about Jesus? What if I told you that you can find him over and over again in the Old Testament?

Oh, you say, I know that! I know that He is The Word, The Living Word. I know all that stuff!

But what if I told you that there is a wealth of knowledge of Jesus available from the Old Testament and actually in The Oral Torah and in the teachings of the Hebrew Sages (The Talmud). What if I told you that the Word that God gave Moses and is taught every Sabbath in the Synagogue is full of Jesus?

Wouldn't that peak your interest just a little? Wouldn't you like to know more about your Savior? Wouldn't you like to know that God had your Salvation in mind from the Beginning? Wouldn't you like to know that the whole Bible speaks of Jesus?

Jesus appeared to them on the road to Emmaus.....

"And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself"

Luke 24:27

"Moses and The Prophets" is a common phrase for what we call "The Old Testament". If Jesus found it important to teach that, isn't is our responsibility to learn it?
